BMW 3 SERIES

The 3 Series models remain the one vehicle that all other automakers covet. The 320i Sedan is the starting point with its 180-horsepower 2-liter engine. Then follows the 330i (formerly 328i) Sedan and wagon with an all-new 248 horsepower version of the I-4. That same engine is also found in the 330e plug-in hybrid that works with an 87-horsepower electric motor (fed from lithium ion batteries) to produce 248 combined horses. Likewise, the 340i (formerly 335i) receives a new inline 3-liter, 320 hp, six cylinder engine. Unchanged is the 328d turbo-diesel's 180 horsepower (and 280 pound-feet of torque). For those wanting a bit more oomph, the 2017 M3 rockets from 0-60 mph in 3.9-seconds via its turbocharged 425-horsepower 3-liter six cylinder engine.

BMW X1

BMW mounted the X1 logo on a chassis developed for BMW's Mini division, which means it's essentially a front-wheel-drive model with added all-wheel-drive hardware similar to that used on the Mini Countryman. Powering the X1 is a turbocharged 2-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 228 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. Heated mirrors, rain sensing wipers, and fog lights.

Base price (incl. destination): $33,800
